Florence M. Brown, age 80, of New Egypt died Monday, November 19 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Born in Cookstown, she was a lifetime New Egypt area resident.
Florence was a housewife who raised her five children and she also was a member of the American Legion Post 455 Ladies Auxiliary in New Egypt.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Anna Parker and by her brothers, Roy C. Parker, Jr. and Jackie Parker. She is survived by her husband, James E. Brown; five children, Denise Brown of Jackson, Paula Brown and husband Mark Rodgers of Somerset, Lisa Clark and husband David of New Egypt, James Brown II and wife Shonda of Browns Mills and Michael Brown and wife Nicole of New Egypt; two sisters, Grace Rossell and husband Norman of Fairless Hills, PA and Thelma Davison and husband Harold B. of Cream Ridge; a brother, Donald Parker and wife Betty of Whiting; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Florence will be held on Friday, November 23 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 10:0 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
