Obituary of Louis S. Carotenuto

Louis S. Carotenuto, Sr., age 82, of Whiting died Friday, December 7 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in Wrightstown before moving to Whiting 17 years ago.
Lou worked as a tire recapper for Height Tire in Hightstown. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Lou was a member of the VFW Post 15031, the DAV Chapter 24 and the Marine Corps League.
Louis was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Carotenuto, two brothers, Joseph and Anthony and a sister, Maryann. He is survived by his wife, Nora (nee Rhody) Carotenuto; two daughters, Deborah Carotenuto of Whiting, Linda Franz and husband Martin of Florence; a son, Louis Carotenuto, Jr. and wife Robin of Lancaster, PA; two brothers, Genaro Carotenuto of Mullica Hill and Richard Carotenuto of Erial; six grandchildren; a great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Lou will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 1:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
