Obituary of Louis J. Lee

Louis J. Lee, age 90, of Cream Ridge died Monday, January 7 at home. Born in Secaucus, NJ, he was a resident of the New Egypt/Cream Ridge area since 1970 and formerly of North Bergen.
Louis was a retired repairman for Kiel Heating & A.C. in North Bergen. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. Louis was trained as a Pigeoneer in the Army and used the homing pigeons as message carriers between Army units under combat conditions in Africa, Italy, Corsica, Austria, Belgium, France and Luxembourg. After his military service he kept up his interest in Homing Pigeons.
Louis was predeceased by his former wife, Mary Blanch Lee. He is survived by three sons, Frank Lee and wife Maureen of Cream Ridge, Louis Lee, Jr. and wife Susan of Trenton and Robert Lee of Cream Ridge; a daughter, Eva Miller and husband Robert of Manchester Twp.; ten grandchildren, David Lee, Debra Simicsak, Evan Amos, Kendra Nasiatka, Robert Lee, Matthew Lee, Julie Lee, Maria Strandquest, Sara Lee and Louis Lee; seven great grandchildren, DJ Lee, Jeffrey Simicsak, Ashley Simicsak, Kiera Samicsak, Lexi Strandquest, Calen Lee and Abigail Lee and cousins Linda and Frank Mai of New Hampshire.
Funeral services for Louis will be held on Friday, January 11 at 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with calling hours on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
