Mathilde G. “Tillie” Vaughn, age 79, of Wrightstown passed away Monday, June 23 at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington Township. Born in Trier, Germany, she was a long time area resident. Tillie was a military wife, following her husband’s Air Force career. She enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. Also for many years she was a caretaker for many area children. Tillie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard W. Vaughn; three daughters, Anneliese Wright and husband Jackie of Louisville, KY; Jeanie DuBell of Columbus and Linda Taylor and husband David of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Christopher Wright, Wesley Wright, Jennifer Huckleberry, Herbert DuBell, Jessica Taylor and David Taylor; nine great grandchildren; a sister in North Carolina and several other family members in Germany. Funeral services for Tillie will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 1:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be on Monday morning at 10:00 AM at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown (Please meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM to drive to the cemetery in procession).
