Donald Decker, age 90, of Cream Ridge passed away Tuesday, July 1 at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. Born in Robbinsville, he was a longtime resident of Cream Ridge.
Donald served in the Army during World War II. He worked in Trenton as a licensed plumber for many years before going to work at Fort Dix maintaining the plumbing, heating and natural gas fixtures for 20 years. Donald loved to travel with his late wife, he enjoyed working on cars and doing repairs around the house, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Donald was predeceased by his wife, Lillian E. Decker and by a son, Donald L. Decker, Jr. He is survived by a son, Gary Decker and fiancée Linda McBride of New Egypt; a daughter, Linda Malsbury of Bordentown; his grandchildren and their spouses, Gary and Ashley Decker, Heather and Paul Caine, Kim and Barry Runner, Donald J. “DJ” Decker, Arnold and Jayne Malsbury and Andy Malsbury and fiancée Jen Lee; his great grandchildren, Anya Malsbury, Jack and Nicholas Runner, Devon and Christopher Malsbury, Giana and Robert Caine, Cole Joseph Decker and Zachary Hammerstone and he is also survived by a sister, Edna Fedor of Robbinsville.
Funeral services for Donald will be held on Monday, July 7 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening, July 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
