Estelle K. “Della” Lynch, age 57, of New Egypt passed away Friday, July 18 at Arista Care Center in Whiting with her loving family by her side after an courageous 8 year battle with stage 4 breast, bone and liver cancer. Born in Long Branch, she was a resident of New Egypt for the past 26 years and formerly lived in Jackson. Della was a 1976 graduate of Howell High School and had worked for WaWa for many years, most recently at the WaWa Store #345 in Wrightstown. She was very active in showing dogs and she was a member of the Central Jersey Collie Club. Della was predeceased by her father, Robert Lynch and by a brother, Robert Lynch. She is survived a daughter, Jennifer Carpenter and companion Chris Coriell of Cream Ridge; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Ashley Carpenter of Jacobstown; her mother, Catherine Lynch of New Egypt; a granddaughter, Alexis Coriell of Cream Ridge; a brother, James Lynch and companion Kathy Hill of Jackson; a sister, Noreen McBride of New Egypt and her former husband, Fred Carpenter of Whiting. A memorial service for Della will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 6:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
