Dorothy J. Simon, age 69, of Whiting passed away Wednesday, September 10 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Whiting since 1979 and formerly resided in Keansburg. Dorothy had worked as a secretary at IFF in Union Beach, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Isabelle (Klopman) McManus. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Simon; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Edward Marshall of New Egypt, a son, Robert James Simon of Edison and two grandsons, Andrew and William Marshall. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, September 15 at 10:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Middletown, NJ.
