Obituary of Jack Duane Hughes

Jack D. Hughes, age 89, of Brick died Friday, November 21 at The Chelsea in Brick Township. Born in North Dakota, he was raised in Nebraska before moving to Oregon where he joined the military and living in Hamilton Twp., NJ from 1955 to 1965. Jack then moved back to Oregon where he lived until moving back to New Jersey seven years ago.
Jack served in the Army from 1947 to 1950. He had worked at Borden’s Dairy in Trenton and also was an auto mechanic. Jack was an avid bowler.
Jack was predeceased by a son, Duane J. Hughes and by his former wife, Mildred (nee Emery) Hughes. He is survived by a son, Ronald Hughes and wife Donna of New Egypt; two daughters, Diane Koveleski and husband John of Jackson and Cheryl Springett and husband Rick of Wrightstown; three sisters, Ellen Jacobson, Lila Dodd and Norma all of Oregon; ten grandchildren, Eileen Hughes, Gary Hughes, Dean Hughes, Michele Sullivan, Valerie Amaradio, Duane M. Hughes, John Koveleski IV, Pam Nussbaum, Malerie Hauser and Kayla Hauser and twenty three great grandchildren.
Funeral services and interment for Jack will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
