Luis “Tony” Rios, age 78, of Wrightstown passed away Thursday, February 19th at Lourdes Specialty Hospital in Willingboro. Born in Puerto Rico, he came to the United States at the age of 15. He lived and worked in Toms River for over 35 years before moving to the New Egypt/Wrightstown area. Mr. Rios was proud of his craft as a skilled automotive painter for over 30 years. He first learned his trade at Minerva Auto and finished his career at New Egypt Auto Body. He was a fun loving man who was considered quite the storyteller and jokester who loved making people smile. Tony was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, uncle and brother and was survived by his wife of 40 years, Lucila (Bonilla) Rios; three sons, Luis Rios of Ohio, Bernardo Roman of Wrightstown and Justino Roman of Howell; five daughters, Susan Rios of New York City, Debbie Lyons of Manahawkin, Cynthia Rios of Toms River, Annette Gonzalez of Browns Mills and Lisa Ortiz of Pemberton; a brother, Adalberto Rios of Florida; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Luis will be held on Sunday, February 22 at 3:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
