George D. Taylor, age 75, of New Egypt passed away Sunday, April 26 at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Cookstown, he was a lifetime area resident. George was a retired groomsman, working for many years at Walnridge Farm in Cream Ridge. He also enjoyed refinishing furniture and always enjoyed breakfast with the gang at Tootie’s Restaurant in New Egypt. George was predeceased by his parents, George and Florence Taylor. He is survived by his sister, Katherine Karlberg of Brasher Falls, NY; his nieces and nephews, David and Shari Hopkins of Winthrop, NY and Susan and Reginald Francis of Lawrenceville, NY and several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Graveside services for George will be held on Friday, May 1 at 11:00 AM at the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery, 49 Jacobstown-Arneytown Road in Jacobstown under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
