Thelma Mae Harper of Cookstown passed away with her loving family by her side on July 18, 2015, one day after celebrating her 85th Birthday. Born in Fairfield Maine, she lived in many places like Canada and North Carolina before settling in New Jersey over 45 year ago. Thelma enjoyed gardening and crafting dolls, fairies and Santa Clauses. She also had a huge sweet tooth for ice cream and cookies. Thelma worked in retail at Earth Angel in Mt. Holly for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Thelma is predeceased by her parents James Smyth and Elsie (Parker) Smyth, her beloved husband Albert Harper and her son Mitchell Harper. She leaves behind her four children, James Harper of Mt, Holly, NJ. Lawrence Harper of North Hanover Twp. Lorraine Evans of Cookstown, NJ, and Janet Ricca of Jacobstown,NJ. She also leaves her brother Lawrence Smyth, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services for Thelma are being held privately.
