Ethel A. Zickefoose, 95, of Mount Holly, formerly of North Hanover Township, went to be with God on July 21, 2015. She was born in Clearfield County Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Myrtle Ray (Hooven). Ethel served as a Private Duty Nurse and Captain in the US Army during WWII. She was the kindest, most gentle and soft spoken person you had ever met. Ethel was a wonderful friend and a fantastic listener as she would be highly interested and hung on to your every word during conversation. She was open and caring, expressing her love for everyone without hesitation. She was a pure joy to be around; an angel on earth. Ethel was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Carl D. Zickefoose and her parents. She leaves behind three sisters; Dorothy Shaw of Easton PA, Julia Heck and Barbara McCorkle both of Clear Field PA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10AM at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
