“Mike”
Mike Borsavage of Wrightstown, New Jersey, passed the 18th day, October, 2015 at the age of 61. He is survived by his son, Derek and his wife Jennifer Heisler and his granddaughters Abigail Ann and Makenna Marie. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Patricia H. Borsavage and Costic F. Borsavage. He is survived by his sister Becky Betz and her husband Harry and brothers Peter, David and his companion Regina, Tom and his wife Chris. He is also survived by a nephew Wade A. Borsavage and a niece Jacquelyn Crompton.
He was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1973 and attended Bucks County Community College. He worked at NWL Transformers in Bordentown, NJ, for 30 years and was a manager for many of those years. He served the citizens of Wrightstown Borough and surrounding communities actively for many years. He was a Wrightstown Borough Councilman since 1993 until present and was Council President from 2012-15. He was inducted into the New Jersey League of Municipalities Hall of Fame in 2014. He was the Wrightstown Borough Emergency Management Coordinator since 1988. He was a member for 32 years in the Wrightstown Fire Co. No. 1 and had served as Chief and President. He was a life member of the New Jersey State Fireman Association and was an Exempt Member of the Wrightstown Fire Company Relief Association. He also served as President of the Wrightstown Vol. Fire Co Relief Association. He helped procure many grants for both the Fire Company and the Borough. He was instrumental in the formation of the Wrightstown Bureau of Fire Prevention as well as having a new Fire House built on Saylors Pond Road in 2008. This Firehouse was dedicated in his name on Sept. 5th 2009. He was a member of the Wrightstown Fire Co. Auxiliary and a past member of the Wrightstown First Aid Squad, Jacobstown Emergency Services and the B.P.O. New Egypt Elks. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, pitch and putt with his father, his granddaughters as well as a lifetime of fishing on Sharbot Lake, Ont., Canada.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Costic M. Borsavage Emergency Services Center, 21 Saylors Pond Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 with calling hours from 5PM – 7PM and service starting at 7PM. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Wrightstown Vol. Fire Co. No. 1, 21 Saylors Pond Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. (his last fundraising event).
