Obituary of Edward K. Earley

Edward K. Earley, Sr., age 89, of Jacobstown, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill. He was born in New Egypt to the late Charles W. and Bessie (Pullen) Earley and was a lifelong resident of the area. Ed served in the US Army during WWII and as a former Chief of Police in Plumsted Township. He also worked at Belasco Petroleum for over 40 years. Prior to becoming a resident of Mt. Laurel Center, he loved celebrating birthdays and holidays with his daughter-in-law’s family. Ed also loved his “grand-poodle” Calli, watching baseball and was a member of the New Egypt Church of Christ. He was a loving father and husband who will be deeply missed.
Ed is predeceased by his parents, his wife Mildred Earley, his sister Gladys Romans and his brothers Charles Earley, Ernest Earley and Leon Earley. He leaves behind his son Edward Earley Jr and his wife Patricia of Jacobstown, several nieces and nephews, step-son Dennis Hendrickson and his wife Margaret of Brick and 2 step-granddaughters Alyssa and Farah.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6PM to 8PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533 (TilghmanFH.com). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1PM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery.
