Obituary of Eva Nelson

Eva (Groover) Nelson, age 88, of Wrightstown passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center in Mount Holly. Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Wrightstown for the past 22 years and previously lived in Springfield Township. Eva formerly worked as a cashier at the A&P Market in Hightstown. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Eva was predeceased by her husband, Howard Nelson in March 2015; her parents, Martha and Mahlon Groover, Sr.; her brothers, Wesley, Charles, Warren, Harold and Mahlon Groover, Jr. and her sisters, Janet Ford, Vera Popp, Geraldine Pattley and Evelyn and Catherine Groover. She is survived by four children, John L. Nelson and spouse William Wismer, Barbara Cole and husband Roger, Linda Wood and husband William and Danny Nelson and wife Lori; five grandchildren, Tammy Churchman, Ryan Pepe, Michael Nelson, Michelle Wang and Allison Nelson and six great grandchildren, Annabel Wood, Zachary Churchman, Brandon Evans, Monica Pepe and Christopher and Savannah Nelson. A memorial service for Eva will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 1:00 PM at the New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall, 38 North Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (Atkinson Hall is behind the church on Fort Avenue). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eva’s name may be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 (www.samaritanhealthcarenj.org). Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
