Please share a memory of Paulette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paulette Carolyn Moore of Whiting, New Jersey was born on October 21, 1942 to Mary Emma & Paul Wainwright. The second of eight children, Paulette was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of seventeen, she decided to move to New York in order to start work as a bookkeeper. At this time she met her life-long friend and mentor, Willa (Sis) Vaughn who helped and guided her throughout her life.
While working in New York, she met and married Charles Moore who was stationed at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. In 1972 Paulette began studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brooklyn. In 1973, Charles accepted a position at IBM in Dayton, New Jersey and the entire family moved and settled in Hightstown, New Jersey. Soon after moving, Paulette had the joy of seeing Charles study and accept the Truth. They were baptized together in 1975.
Paulette and Charles served faithfully for a combination of 72 years in Cranbury, Jackson, Pemberton and Browns Mills Congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Paulette’s natural teaching ability coupled with her love for the Bible netted her many spiritual children, friends and family that will miss her dearly. Her love of cooking, shopping and entertaining made her a respected and loved community member in the Crestwood Villages in Whiting.
Paulette is survived by her daughters: Andrea Moore, Michelle Harper; son-in-law George Harper; Grandsons Charles and Phillip Harper; three sisters: Haneefah Rashed, Mary Douglass, Phyllis Berger, Four brother, Charles Thompson, Paul Wainwright, Jr., Shariff Muhammad, Perry Wainwright and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
