Melissa S. Cox, age 47, of Browns Mills, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. She was born in Orlando, FL and was raised by her father Paul Stanton. Melissa was a 1988 graduate of Pemberton Twp. High School. She was a very independent woman who loved being a mother. Melissa enjoyed country music, musicals and most of all her Farmville. She always kept her nails painted and carried herself as a proud lady, with no shame or regret. She collected drinking cups, taking vacation (most recently to Disney and Epcot), and caring for her “big dogs”. She was an adored wife, a wonderful mother and most of all a good person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Melissa leaves behind her husband of over 20 years, Richard Cox; her two sons, Nathan A. Stanton and Patrick A. Cox; her daughters, Cassandra May Cox, Sara Ann Cox, Nicole Somone and Shannon Tyrell; her father, Paul Stanton; her brothers, Gregg Stanton and Liam G. Stanton; six grandchildren, Anastasia, Serenity, Trinity, Brandon, Dillion and Savanah; and her dogs Pickles, Jade, Sassy and Roxy. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 12PM to 2PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will be held at 1:30PM during the memorial gathering.
